In the midst of a perfectly normal day, this face is startlingly attractive. It was, like... jarring. I enjoyed it. Now you can, too.

Avi Kaplan
Well, this post was supposed to go up yesterday but I figure my follower will forgive me (I got big jokes). Today let's discuss Avi Kaplan. He's one of the members of Pentatonix, and here's what happened: The other day I was listening to music but my phone doesn't go very loud. I put YouTube up on TV so I could hear it all over the house while I cleaned. As I walked past on one of my trips, I got distracted (my natural state) and watched a minute or two of a music video. This popped up:

Saturday Spotlight: Stupid Game Show Answers
Short post today, but a good one! There's a channel on YouTube called Stupid Game Show Answers and I LOVE IT!!! It's all these montages of the worst and funniest answers given by contestants on game shows. Here are my two favorites:
Q: Name something at the grocery store that you squeeze before you buy it.
A: Peanut Butter.
Q: In what month of pregnancy does a woman begin to look pregnant?
A: September.
Okay, maybe it's not as funny in writing, but I swear the videos are hilarious! Click here to watch!

Saturday Spotlight: Jay Are Adams
Do you ever sit around thinking, "Hmm... what should I be looking up on YouTube right now? I need something hilarious but not filthy, so what am I to DO?" Try Jay Are Adams. His profile on there is Caliryda21 and he's really funny. He's even funnier in person as a stand-up comedian but he does these little songs on YouTube that he probably never does in person (I'd guess) so following him on there is pretty fun. He's also on Instagram (you'll want to follow him there... you'll see), Snapchat and Twitter @JayAreAdams and of course Jay Are Adams on Facebook. If you just look up 'Jay Are' on Facebook, he has a Page you can 'like' as well.
I pretty much hoard every business card I get...
This dude is military, which is pretty cool with me. I met him while he was stationed near me for some training or something. He was at an open mic and he completely KILLED IT. So funny! He's pretty funny on Twitter too, which is good because it's sometimes a couple of weeks or a month between YouTube videos but they're worth your time. Give him a try. I'm telling you, you'll like him.

Mitch Grassi
In my last post, I mentioned that I had mailed two letters, and the first one was obviously to Steven Moffat, so by now you're all (both? haha) probably wondering who got the second one. As the title suggests, it was Mitch Grassi, the tenor from the Grammy-award-winning, super-famous a cappella group Pentatonix. I kind of hate to single out one member of a group when all of them are so hugely talented (and that Avi ain't too hard on the eyes, either). In fact, Mitch doesn't even do lead vocals on most of their songs. That would be Scott Hoying, who's the other half of Superfruit, an adorably fun YouTube sensation (maybe leave the small kids home while you watch their videos, though). Here's what I wrote to Mitch, adjusted a bit to better fit the format around here. He's another super busy guy, with a nearly constant touring schedule so I'm not sure I expect a response but if I get one, you'll hear about it.
"I just love Mitch's voice so deeply, down to the very core of my being because of the way it hits me. It's not the way it sounds, but the way it feels. It feels sweet, clear, effortless and golden; so, so golden. Have you ever been outside on the beach or in a field during sunset? You know the exact moment that the air turns to gold? Everyone looks backlit from every direction and they're all wearing those glistening auras. You can feel that halo subconsciously even while you're having too much fun in the moment to acknowledge it. When Mitch Grassi sings Valentine, he pours that gold into me and it just... hits me. It stops me in my tracks every single time, draws the air from my lungs and makes me nostalgic for a moment that I didn't even know was important to me. But it is important. Because creating that kind of beauty is, simply put, impossible. To accomplish the impossible is what life is about, and it's a wonderful thing to witness."
So basically, I played it totally cool.
